Wine Tasting |
The Cheuvront Wine & Cheese Cafe was a perfect setting for a wonderful get together to enjoy great company. Mike M. founder of the club was present and had lots of stories to tell about the 'early days'. Thanks again Jeanette to come up with yet another great event idea!

Karting and Ultra Shield demo |
| Thanks to all who came indoor karting and to the Ultra-Shield Demo on Saturday July 28th. Didn't we say that we wanted to go indoor karting to get out of the heat?!?! WHEW! Was it hot in there, both the air and the close racing competition!!! The first race was close with lots of bumping and pushing. Congratulations goes out to 1st Place winner Justin D. with the quickest lap time of 43.191, close behind was 2nd Place winner Chris S. with a 43.31, and not far behind in 3rd Place was Byron M. with a 43.85!!! Now that everyone was warmed up, the second race was even faster and more furious! Congratulations goes out to 1st Place winner Byron M. with a 42.52, 2nd Place Justin D. with a 42.85, and 3rd Place Be V. with a 43.06. After karting we got cooled off with a nice rain shower as we headed off to Bill Luke Dodge for lunch and the Ultra Shield Demonstration. Thanks to Viper Tech Eddie Martin and Bill Luke Dodge for hosting the Ultra Shield demonstration where we learned about this awesome protection product for our cars and saw a live demonstration on the application process. Thanks to Ryan Townsley for the demonstration!! As always, it was nice to get together with our fellow Viper friends. |

Viper Party at the Krieger residence |
The summer heat in full swing we gathered at the Krieger residence for a fun party. Over 10 Vipers converged and filled up all available parking. Great food, many games from Pool to 'find the Viper' kept us entertained for a long time. A big Thank You to our Hosts Ken and Lynn Krieger! |

Bowling |
| It was great to see everyone tonight for a cool, fun filled evening! Uncle Sams was a great place to meet up and have a bite to eat and bowling was a blast!!!! Congratulations to our high bowler, Kim Feddick, with a score of 191, and to our "target number" bowler, Be Vuong, for strategically getting a score closest to 136! It was fun to conclude our night by gathering at the Pavilions where it was actually "Mopar Night" so we got to park across from our rival vettes! MMMMM chicken!!! And because we were so rowdie, had Viper Club apparel on, and Joanne was making hand gestures, the patrol officers accused us of being a gang. Imagine that ;) Club/Gang same thing right?!?!? |

Verde Canyon Cruise |
More than 15 Vipers; Over 3 hours of driving; Two lane mountain roads; Cooler temperatures...
And to top it all: A four hour train ride in our own first class cabin through some very spectacular scenery. When was the last time you saw a Bald Eagle in the wild?
This trip had it all!
We went from cruising to comfortable launching to awesome views and a night stint on I-17 - all in one day.

Viper vs. Viper at Luke Days |
We can't call this event a 'Zone Rendezvous' but it sure qualified as one!
The excitement was high all weekend starting with a special VIP night on Friday at Luke Air Force Base and continued on through Saturday with the now famous Viper vs. Viper race down the runway.
Needless to say the new 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10, piloted by Herb Helbig (see picture), won the race! The Competition Coupe, piloted by Ralph Gilles, did not go out without a fight either but had no chance against the F-16 with full after burners on.
After a terrific air show that peaked with a performance of the USAF Thunderbirds, we headed to our Saturday dinner at the base. The online auction combined with auctioning off very special Viper items during the evening brought in $53,300 to benefit the Luke AFB MWR (morale, welfare and recreation) Fund. A BIG thank you goes out to everyone involved in making this happen.
Sunday saw the majority of us heading to the DaimlerChrysler Arizona Proving Grounds to participate in an Auto Cross. After the morning trial runs with very impressive times, we got serious after lunch to establish the packing order. Let’s just say this; members from the Arizona Region left the rest of the pack in the dust posting the only two sub-40 second times: 38.8 sec. for first place and 39.3 sec. for second place. What a great weekend!

Cruise and Viper Party at the Goldfarb residence |
If you did not attend this event you missed out lot!
20 Vipers gathered for a cruise to the residence of Warren and Jeanette Goldfarb for a fun filled party that lasted well into the night.
A 50/50 raffle and Viper trivia game kept everyone on their toes. Great trivia questions revealed some very interesting answers...

January 20 |
Barrett-Jackson, Scottsdale |
More than 25 snakes and almost 100 members where joining up for our annual Barrett-Jackson event. It was a cold and rainy day in the dessert but nobody really cared. The car show was great and so was lunch in our private room at the Monterra restaurant. We saw a slide show of the new 2008 Viper as unveiled at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show just days before. The main theme for the new Viper can only be describes as 'MORE': More power, more torque, more fun...

Thanks again to Joe from Ed Moses for the continental breakfast reception in the morning and our team of helpers at the 'shirts & things' sales table.
Until next year!
